# Arsenal hold hopes of securing amazing deal for Bayern Munich duo

[![lewandowski](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/lewandowski-500x330.jpg)](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/lewandowski.jpg?admin)We almost called for an early closing time in the Transfer Tavern this morning, after one over-excited punter claimed Arsenal are hoping to secure Pep Guardiola AND Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich next summer.

[*The Daily Mail* declares](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3246377/Arsenal-missed-Robert-Lewandowski-summer-best-hope-landing-Pep-Guardiola-pens-new-deal.html) Arsenal were unsurprisingly unsuccessful with a ‘discreet’ move for Polish international Lewandowski, who caused many spilt pints on Tuesday evening with a five-goal haul in nine minutes against Wolfsburg.

Whilst Arsenal fans dream of a forward of Lewandowski’s calibre, [it’s claimed they have a chance of securing his signatur](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3246377/Arsenal-missed-Robert-Lewandowski-summer-best-hope-landing-Pep-Guardiola-pens-new-deal.html)e at the end of the season if they manage to get Pep Guardiola in as the next gaffer at the Emirates.

This is because Guardiola is a huge fan of the Polish forward, whilst the Bayern board aren’t too fussed – though we expect that has changed after his heroics last time out.

Such a deal would cap-off a sensational double swoop for Arsenal and would make-up for a unimpressive transfer window this summer, where the Gunners were the only side in Europe’s top-five leagues not to sign a senior outfield player.

**Do you believe such a sensational series of events could take place? Arsenal fans…. How happy would this make you?**
