Some of the Arsenal fans frequenting the Transfer Tavern drinking away their Monday Blues are disappointed to see reports in the [Daily Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/arsenal-want-leicester-teenager-ben-7776210?) suggesting Kieran Gibbs could be on his way out of the club, while at the same time are no doubt excited by the same [report](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/arsenal-want-leicester-teenager-ben-7776210?) hinting Ben Chilwell is a target.

Gibbs is [reportedly](https://www.espn.co.uk/football/soccer-transfers/story/2841107/kieran-gibbs-may-leave-arsenal-at-end-of-the-season-source) unhappy with life in North London having lost his place in the starting lineup to Nacho Monreal.

Both Ryan Bertrand and Danny Rose were selected ahead of him in the most recent England squad, while Luke Shaw is first-choice at international level in many people’s eyes.

He was [linked](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3426144/Arsenal-left-Kieran-Gibbs-target-Newcastle-look-wrap-deal-Roma-striker-Seydou-Doumbia.html) with a move to Newcastle United over the course of the January transfer window, with the Gunners [understood](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3536447/Arsenal-eye-British-talent-homegrown-core-set-ripped-apart-summer.html) to be open to the prospect of selling in the summer as they plot a major summer overhaul.

Chilwell is highly rated the table topping Foxes, though has been unable to force his way into the firs-team regularly amid their shock title surge.

The 19-year old is [said](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/arsenal-want-leicester-teenager-ben-7776210?) to have rejected a new deal at the King Power as the likes of [Arsenal](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/arsenal-want-leicester-teenager-ben-7776210?) and [Chelsea](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/arsenal-want-leicester-teenager-ben-7776210?) thought to be monitoring his ongoing situation in the East Midlands.

**Does Gibbs deserve more of a chance at Arsenal? Is the Chilwell hype well founded?**
