# Arsenal make bid to land exceptional Premier League talent

![Chilwell](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/4725903-500x369.jpg)Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern sipping their pints and hoping for new signings this week to bolster their chances of Premier League success have had a beaming smile put on their faces, with positive reports in the press.

*[The Daily Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/arsenal-make-new-transfer-bid-7228412)*[reports](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/arsenal-make-new-transfer-bid-7228412) that Arsenal made a fresh-bid for Leicester City’s highly-rated full-back Ben Chilwell over the weekend, following up their interest from the summer where the Gunners saw a bid rejected.

England U21 international Chilwell has also attracted the attention of Manchester City and Liverpool, with the 19-year-old tipped for an excellent future- and Arsenal want him as the [long-term successor to Nacho Monreal.](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/arsenal-make-new-transfer-bid-7228412)

With Leicester City eyeing replacements for the injured Jeffrey Schlupp, Chilwell’s first-team chances with Claudio Ranieri’s side could be restricted further and Arsenal want to use this to their advantage.

Our landlord believes that Arsene Wenger is assembling a ferocious defence for the coming years, with the potential arrival of Chilwell adding to the already excelling Hector Bellerin and Calum Chambers; both of whom are tipped for bright futures.
