It looked like they [were not going](https://www.de24.news/2020/07/arsenal-could-miss-the-european-cup-for-the-first-time-in-25-years.html) to be in Europe for the first time in 25 years as they finished [eighth](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/table) in the Premier League but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang managed to score a [brace](https://news.sky.com/story/arsenal-beat-london-rivals-chelsea-to-win-fa-cup-in-empty-wembley-12040673) at Wembley to make sure they were going to play in the Europa League.

The captain, whose future continues to be [uncertain](https://www.goal.com/en/news/aubameyang-avoids-future-question-but-arteta-optimistic-arsenals-/13dw9k266nt5r1e36elv0mfw69), showed why Arsenal need to do everything to keep him. Manager Mikel Arteta will be very pleased with his performance as his two goals in the [2-1](https://news.sky.com/story/arsenal-beat-london-rivals-chelsea-to-win-fa-cup-in-empty-wembley-12040673) victory gave the Spaniard his first ever trophy as a [manager.](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mikel-arteta/profil/trainer/47620)

Following the victory, the captain [released](https://www.instagram.com/p/CDXHFqbH-X7/) an Instagram post that supporters will love as the picture was of the team celebrating winning the trophy. The post was supported with the simple caption: “Champions”.

Arteta has only been a manager for [eight months](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mikel-arteta/profil/trainer/47620) after leaving his [role](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-city-pep-guardiola-arteta-17898621#:~:text=Pep%20Guardiola%20told%20Mikel%20Arteta%20to%20leave%20Manchester%20City%20to,was%20postponed%20over%20coronavirus%20fears.) as assistant manager at Manchester City and winning the FA Cup so early in his career is a fantastic achievement.
