The 23-year-old has emerged as one of Arsenal’s top priority signings following the completion of Chelsea legend Petr Cech making his way to the Emirates and a move has now become likely to come through.

[A fee in the region of £19.8 million](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/450770/transfer-news-gossip-Arsenal-Man-United-William-Carvalho-Morgan-Schneiderlin-rumours)is being sung around the karaoke stand, and a deal could emerge this summer for the midfielder.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger [was reported](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/450770/transfer-news-gossip-Arsenal-Man-United-William-Carvalho-Morgan-Schneiderlin-rumours) to have targeted the player last month but a deal never surfaced. Manchester United were also seen to be in the running for the Portuguese international, however also weren’t able to reach an agreement.
