The 23-year-old, who has made [35](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/axel-tuanzebe/leistungsdaten/spieler/342046) appearances for Villa during his previous spells, was on the [bench](https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2021/august/Aston-Villa-3-1-Salernitana/) just hours after a move was announced in Villa’s 3-1 win over Salernitana.

The defender [didn’t feature](https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2021/august/Aston-Villa-3-1-Salernitana/) at Villa Park against the Italian side but has now become the club’s [fifth](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aston-villa/transfers/verein/405) senior addition of the window and first signing to provide cover to Tyrone Mings and Ezri Konsa.
