# Aston Villa: Fans buzz at Axel Tuanzebe enquiry

**Aston Villa have enquired over a loan deal for Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe, according to [Express & Star reporter Matt Maher](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/aston-villa/2021/07/29/aston-villa-weigh-up-axel-tuanzebe-move/).**

A number of Villa supporters have been sharing their positive thoughts on the transfer update on social media.

According to [Maher](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/aston-villa/2021/07/29/aston-villa-weigh-up-axel-tuanzebe-move/), Villa have registered their interest ahead of a possible third Midlands loan spell.

Tuanzebe has already made [35](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/axel-tuanzebe/leistungsdaten/spieler/342046) appearances for Villa, two shy of his [total at Old Trafford](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/axel-tuanzebe/leistungsdaten/spieler/342046), however, concerns over playing time could [reportedly](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/aston-villa/2021/07/29/aston-villa-weigh-up-axel-tuanzebe-move/) be an obstacle when it comes to a potential Villa Park return.

The 23-year-old is [set to depart](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/aston-villa/2021/07/29/aston-villa-weigh-up-axel-tuanzebe-move/) United after the Red Devils signed Raphael Varane from Real Madrid.

Newcastle also want to [sign](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/aston-villa/2021/07/29/aston-villa-weigh-up-axel-tuanzebe-move/) the [versatile](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/axel-tuanzebe/leistungsdaten/spieler/342046) defender, but it seems as if Villa have taken the first steps to secure  Tuanzebe’s services.

### Villa fans react

[@villareport](https://twitter.com/villareport/status/1420802940911095813) shared [Maher](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/aston-villa/2021/07/29/aston-villa-weigh-up-axel-tuanzebe-move/)’s Tuanzebe enquiry claim on Twitter on Thursday evening.

These Villa fans all seemed to be for a move, with one believing a possible loan to buy deal would be ‘unreal’, should the club manage to negotiate one.
