# Aston Villa: Fans delighted with Jack Grealish

**It took a while, but Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish is starting to prove his talent in the Premier League.**

\[freshpress-poll id=”249906″\]

The Birmingham-born playmaker registered his first assist of the campaign against Bournemouth in August but then had to wait another month before his second contribution of the season came – another assist against Arsenal during a narrow defeat against the Gunners at the Emirates (via [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jack-grealish/leistungsdaten/spieler/203460)).

However, [two goals and an assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jack-grealish/leistungsdaten/spieler/203460) in his previous two league outings for the Villans – both coming in wins against Norwich and Brighton respectively – have got everyone talking about the 24-year-old’s potential, with Premier League legend [Alan Shearer](https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/10/22/alan-shearer-on-aston-villa-ace-jack-grealish/) suggesting that it may not be too long before Grealish is called up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad.

Aston Villa fans are unsurprisingly delighted with the progress that their club captain is making in the top-flight this term, as shown by these Tweets below:
