# Aston Villa: Fans go wild over new away kit

**Aston Villa [unveiled](https://twitter.com/AVFCOfficial/status/1421063293947551744) their new away kit for the 2020/21 season on Friday, with a number of supporters sharing their positive thoughts on the strip on social media.**

Villa were in the news for a number of reasons on Friday, with reports suggesting Manchester City offered [£100m](https://twitter.com/JPercyTelegraph/status/1421073536031117314) for Jack Grealish.

More transfer news then claimed Villa have had a [£25m](https://twitter.com/David_Ornstein/status/1421106407789764609) offer for Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse rejected.

However, it was the club’s new away kit, made by [Kappa and sponsored by Cazoo](https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2021/july/Aston-Villa-s-new-2021-22-away-kit/), that caught the eye of Villa fans early on Friday morning.

Villa’s kit for away trips this season was [inspired](https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2021/july/Aston-Villa-s-new-2021-22-away-kit/) by the club’s European Cup triumph in 1981. Villa went for a white design with claret pinstripes to celebrate their famous 1-0 win over Bayern Munich in Rotterdam.
