# Aston Villa: Fans react to Ajani Burchall deal

**Aston Villa have signed Bournemouth winger Ajani Burchall for a [substantial compensation fee](https://www.afcb.co.uk/news/club-news/burchall-moves-to-aston-villa/), and a number of Villa supporters have been giving their thoughts to the news on social media.**

Villa were first [linked](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-aston-villa-race-arsenal-leeds-and-west-ham-to-sign-bournemouth-sensation-burchall/) with a move for the player back in March. The likes of [Arsenal, Leeds and West Ham were also credited with an interest back then](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-aston-villa-race-arsenal-leeds-and-west-ham-to-sign-bournemouth-sensation-burchall/), but it’s Villa who have won the race for his services.

Burchall is 16 years of age and [became the third-youngest player to turn out for Bournemouth](https://www.afcb.co.uk/news/club-news/burchall-moves-to-aston-villa/) after featuring in a Championship match last season. The teenager, who is [capable of playing on either flank](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ajani-burchall/profil/spieler/844361), made a [cameo appearance from the bench against Huddersfield Town](https://www.afcb.co.uk/news/club-news/burchall-moves-to-aston-villa/) back in December.

He joins [England under-16 captain Josh Feeney](https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2021/july/Feeney-joins-Villa-Academy/) as Aston Villa’s second academy addition this summer.
