# Aston Villa: Fans react to Buendia and Martinez update

**Emiliano Buendia and Emiliano Martinez could both feature for Aston Villa against Everton on Saturday, according to [Matt Maher](https://twitter.com/mjmarr_star/status/1438554433969958912).**

The pair won’t be back in the country until a few hours before kick-off, which has had a number of Villa fans talking on social media.

Buendia and Martinez both went away with Argentina during the recent international break and have had to spend more than a week in [Croatia](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/aston-villa/2021/09/16/aston-villas-argentina-duo-may-return/) to avoid hotel quarantine in the UK.

The pair have been training during that time, according to [Maher](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/aston-villa/2021/09/16/aston-villas-argentina-duo-may-return/), and are both in Dean Smith’s selection thoughts ahead of Saturday evening’s clash at Villa Park.

[Maher](https://twitter.com/mjmarr_star/status/1438554433969958912) believes that the goalkeeper is likely to come in for Jed Steer from the off, whereas the 24-year-old could also feature in what could be a busy Saturday for the duo.
