# Aston Villa: Fans react to Eddie Nketiah links

**Aston Villa have considered a move for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, according to [The Athletic](https://theathletic.com/3079724/2022/01/19/villa-are-performing-better-when-they-play-with-one-recognised-striker-rather-than-two/).**

And, as to be expected, a number of Villa fans have been reacting to the rumour on social media.

Steven Gerrard and Johan Lange have been extremely busy his month, bringing in [three](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aston-villa/transfers/verein/405) senior additions and [one](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aston-villa-u23/transfers/verein/12124) for the academy, with their [attention](https://theathletic.com/3079724/2022/01/19/villa-are-performing-better-when-they-play-with-one-recognised-striker-rather-than-two/) now on securing a centre-back and a defensive midfielder.

However, according to [Gregg Evans](https://theathletic.com/3079724/2022/01/19/villa-are-performing-better-when-they-play-with-one-recognised-striker-rather-than-two/), Villa have also discussed attacking options. Nketiah has been considered as he is now into the final [six months](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/eddie-nketiah/profil/spieler/340324) of his Gunners deal, whereas other forwards across Europe are also on the radar.

The 22-year-old is [yet](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/eddie-nketiah/leistungsdaten/spieler/340324) to start a Premier League fixture this season and has scored just [five](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/eddie-nketiah/leistungsdaten/spieler/340324) times in [41](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/eddie-nketiah/leistungsdaten/spieler/340324) appearances in the top flight.
