# Aston Villa: Fans react to footage of Pepe Reina’s initiation performance

**Aston Villa fans were delighted to see one of Pepe Reina’s earliest moments as a Villa player – after footage of his ‘initiation’ emerged online.**

Along with fellow newbie Danny Drinkwater, the Spanish goalkeeper could be seen standing on a chair singing ‘La Bamba’ in his native language, and clearly getting into the spirit of things.

That led to a positive reaction from the Villa faithful, who responded to the video on Twitter by praising the ‘keeper’s performance and showing their admiration towards their new signing, who [joined on loan](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51092029) from AC Milan last week with [Tom Heaton](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50978289) out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

The Spaniard made his debut for the Villans in their 1-1 draw against [Brighton](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51073187) on Saturday as Jack Grealish rescued a point for the visitors, but not before a bit of traditional housekeeping for the new arrivals – reactions to which you can find below:
