# Aston Villa: Fans react to Milot Rashica transfer update

**Many Aston Villa supporters have been reacting on social media to a transfer update on Werder Bremen attacker Milot Rashica.**

The 24-year-old was heavily [linked](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11677/12069504/aston-villa-considering-move-for-werder-bremen-winger-milot-rashica) with a move to Villa Park last year, but despite months of rumours, the winger remained in the Bundesliga past the summer deadline.

### Summer switch for Rashica?

However, according to German publication [Bild](https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/fussball/werder-bremen-ende-der-torflaute-florian-kohfeldt-glaubt-an-rashica-75797922.bild.html), cited by [Birmingham Mail](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-target-finally-set-20218278), the [£10.8m-rated](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/milot-rashica/profil/spieler/291739) ace will now ‘finally be sold’ in the summer.

Rashica is out of contract in [2022](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/milot-rashica/profil/spieler/291739) and it seems as if Werder Bremen now want to cash in on the [Kosovo international](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/milot-rashica/profil/spieler/291739).

The wide man was in fine form during the 2019/20 campaign, scoring [eight times and providing seven assists in the Bundesliga](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/milot-rashica/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/291739). It’s been a different story this season, though, with Rashica still looking for his [first league goal after 16 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/milot-rashica/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/291739).

### Villa fans react

[@AVFC\_News](https://twitter.com/AVFC_News/status/1373023724958588928) shared the update regarding Rashica on Twitter, asking fans if Villa should make a move.

These supporters were all against a possible summer deal, with one fan describing the player’s form as ‘awful’.

**“Nope. Watched him a few times during Lockdown – he’s no better than anyone in the current squad, profligate in front of goal & selfish. Give Louie Barry a go instead”**
