# Aston Villa: Fans react to Morgan Sanson injury

**Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Sanson is set to be sidelined for a [month](https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2021/september/Smith-issues-injury-updates/) after injuring his hamstring against Chelsea in the week.**

And, as to be expected, another injury blow has left plenty of Villa fans fuming.

Villa took to [Twitter](https://twitter.com/AVFCOfficial/status/1441115240108736516) on Thursday evening to inform fans that Leon Bailey is set to be out until after the international break with a thigh strain.

Within their injury update on the club’s [official website](https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2021/september/Smith-issues-injury-updates/), manager Dean Smith also revealed that the French midfielder is set to be ruled out for four weeks.

The 27-year-old made his [first](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/morgan-sanson/leistungsdaten/spieler/174094) start of the season for the first team at Stamford Bridge in the week but was replaced shortly before half-time.

Sanson has now made just [10](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/morgan-sanson/leistungsdaten/spieler/174094) appearances for the club following his [£14.22m](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/morgan-sanson/transfers/spieler/174094) move from Marseille in January.
