# Aston Villa: Fans react to rumoured Yves Bissouma bid

**Aston Villa, Arsenal and Newcastle are all keen on midfielder Yves Bissouma, with Brighton recently rejecting a £30m bid.**

That’s according to French journalist and commentator [Fabrice Hawkins](https://twitter.com/FabriceHawkins/status/1483496551456587782), and, as to be expected, a number of Villa fans have been reacting to the news on social media.

Villa are [after](https://theathletic.com/news/aston-villas-marvelous-nakamba-likely-to-miss-rest-of-the-season/WCyCyO0tpHU6/) a new defensive midfielder this month following the injury to Marvelous Nakamba and have been [linked](https://twitter.com/TeleFootball/status/1481358036258201605) with a £40m move for Bissouma.

[Sam Wallace of The Telegraph](https://twitter.com/SamWallaceTel/status/1481359652197650434) labelled a move for the Seagulls star as a difficult and potentially expensive one but not impossible.

[Hawkins](https://twitter.com/FabriceHawkins/status/1483496551456587782) took to Twitter on Tuesday evening, claiming Brighton have rejected a £30m offer. He doesn’t name where the offer came from, but Villa, Arsenal and Newcastle are all name-checked with an interest.
