# Aston Villa: Fans react to Smith Rowe latest

**Aston Villa are lining up a second bid for Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe, according to [John Percy of The Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2021/06/22/transfer-notebook-wolves-west-ham-keen-move-burnleys-james-tarkowski/).**

And, as to be expected, a number of Villa supporters have shared their thoughts on the transfer update on social media.

Villa had a £25m bid rejected by the Gunners for the 20-year-old last week, as revealed by [David Ornstein of The Athletic](https://twitter.com/David_Ornstein/status/1405161786006028290).

Smith Rowe’s current deal at the Emirates currently runs until [2023](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/emile-smith-rowe/profil/spieler/392765), with Arsenal [working to renew](https://twitter.com/David_Ornstein/status/1405161786006028290) that.

[Ornstein](https://twitter.com/David_Ornstein/status/1405161786006028290) suggested that Arsenal have no interest in selling the attacking midfielder, but it seems as if Villa are plotting another offer.

[Percy](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2021/06/22/transfer-notebook-wolves-west-ham-keen-move-burnleys-james-tarkowski/) claims that Villa believe a possible deal is worth exploring and see Smith Rowe alongside Emiliano Buendia and Ollie Watkins in a front three, with club captain Jack Grealish as a number 10.
