# Aston Villa: Fans loved footage of Tammy Abraham’s winning penalty in Championship play-offs

**Many Aston Villa fans looked back on Tammy Abraham’s penalty which secured the club’s passage to the Championship play-off final last season.**

The Premier League future of Villa continues to hang in the balance, sitting [19th in the table](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/tabelle/wettbewerb/GB1/saison_id/2019) and very much in desperate need to gain some points if the season returns.

Despite reaching the [Carabao Cup final](https://www.theguardian.com/football/live/2020/mar/01/aston-villa-v-manchester-city-carabao-cup-final-live), which they lost to Manchester City, Villa have struggled to find consistent form in England’s top flight. Having gained promotion via the play-off final last term, Dean Smith’s side will very much be helping to remain in the top flight.

Looking back at footage of the [play-off semi-final against West Bromwich Albion](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48182254), which was exactly a year ago today, many Villa fans enjoyed watching back Abraham’s winning penalty. Abraham, who now plays for Chelsea, had a successful loan spell at Villa Park, [scoring 26 goals in 41 games.](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tammy-abraham/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/331726)

Reacting to the footage of Abraham’s penalty via the club’s official Twitter account, these fans reacted…
