Aston Villa: Fans react as club plan to build a brand new academy

Many Aston Villa fans are reacting to the latest news surrounding the club, as they have taken the first steps towards their new academy project.
Journalist Ashley Preece reported the news, as he tweeted: ‘Aston Villa have put forward plans to build a new inner city academy.’ Preece also stressed that this is ‘really exciting news’.
The club hope that it will have an indoor dome, an outdoor pitch and changing rooms, as well as a parents’ room and car parking.
Currently, Villa are in a very good position as they sit mid table in the Premier League, showing no real signs they could get dragged into another relegation scrap.
This feels like the perfect time to try and look towards the future so that they can build the foundations of a Premier League club and continue to match the developments Dean Smith’s side have made on the pitch.
The news is receiving a great reaction from Villa supporters, with one saying ‘this is amazing’. It is understandable to see why they are so happy, as current captain and star player Jack Grealish is a product of the academy, and if they can find more talent like this in a new academy, they will have a bright future.
Here is how Villa fans reacted to this news:
Well done to my club, thank you NSWE and happy the guys and girls from our inner city will be given a huge opportunity. So much talent goes unnoticed. Love my club!

This type of development shows how serious the club and the owners are for the long term success of the club. Very exciting. 👏

Superb. Fantastic. Just what a football club should be about. Strengthen community ties and help children to focus on a desire to play football locally. First class. Just the obstacle of City planning to overcome 🤔
