Aston Villa: Fans react as Jack Grealish praises Keinan Davis

Aston Villa club captain Jack Grealish has touched on the performance of teammate Keinan Davis, who made his first Premier League start on Wednesday evening against Sheffield United.
Wednesday’s game at Villa Park proved to be a rather dull and cautious affair with both sides knowing a lot depended on the result.
Dean Smith’s Villa side were hoping to gain three points that would move them out of the bottom three, whilst Chris Wilder’s visitors knew a win would take them above Manchester United into fifth place.
A 0-0 finish to the game saw the points shared in a result that would have left both sides frustrated.
Despite the failure to win, Villa boss Smith can be buoyed by the performance of young striker Davis, who led the line, replacing Mbwana Samatta, who was dropped to the substitutes bench.
Davis was making his first start in the Premier League this season and his performance has since been praised heavily by captain Grealish.
Speaking via the Birmingham Mail, the midfielder said: “He was brilliant (Keinan Davis). I bet you there’s probably fans out there who don’t know too much about Keinan. And there’s probably fans out there who didn’t expect him to play or didn’t think he should play.
“But he’s come back fit and sharp and, honestly, in training he has been absolutely unplayable so from a few people’s point of view it was a no-brainer giving him a start.”
Reacting to Grealish’s comments on the young striker’s performances, Villa fans gave their opinion with one even describing him as being like a “young Heskey,” perhaps alluding to his towering 191cm stature – the ex-England man was a similar height standing at 188cm.

Keinan is like a young Heskey. He needs another striker to pair up with. Jack is too isolated. If Smith refuses to play him in a central position then we’re going down and it will be his fault. 4 3 1 2. And use Keinan as a target man.

We appear to have a squad who are unplayable in training but unable to play on game day. Strange that.
