Aston Villa: Fans react to Dean Smith’s meeting with first team forwards

Many Aston Villa fans have reacted to a claim by Birmingham Live reporter Ashley Preece that Dean Smith has held a meeting with his attacking players.
The Midlands-based club sit 18th in the Premier League table and in desperate need of some points as they enter the final few games of the 2019/20 season.
Villa, who signed both Wesley (last summer) and Mbwana Samatta (January) this season, have struggled to find the back of the net frequently – the aforementioned duo have netted just six league goals between them whilst youngster Keinan Davis has failed to score in the division.
With Wesley missing through injury at the moment, Smith is now said to have called Samatta, Davis and youngster Indiana Vassilev in for a meeting to discuss their recent form.
“I’ve just been talking to our front three,” the Villa boss is quoted as saying by Birmingham Live. “They want to get involved with our build-up play at times, but I want them to go and get inside our six-yard box. As I get judged by results, they get judged by goals.
“Our goals return hasn’t been great for the five games but we have actually created chances. We’ve put some really good crosses into the box at Newcastle, Sheffield United and Liverpool but we weren’t able to execute them chances so it’s something been working on this week.”
Reacting to Preece’s tweet which shared an article on the meeting, these fans gave their opinion on Villa’s goalscoring problems…
None of our players tend to shoot at all, & we are woeful from set pieces considering the height that we have in the side. Players have to fight harder if we are to stay up, which I believe that we can.

It beggers belife!! See that over there, that’s a goal, kick the ball into it. Meeting over. Something tells me Deano will be called for a meeting himself soon, it’s seems shambolic.
