Aston Villa: Fans react to latest Matt Targett injury news

The Mirror have claimed that Aston Villa defender Matt Targett will face three weeks out injured after being forced off against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Targett arrived at Villa Park a year ago and has been a regular in Dean Smith’s starting XI for the most part this season.
With the Claret and Blue outfit desperately in need of some wins to keep their Premier League status intact, the left-back’s latest injury is now reported to have ruled him out for the next three weeks. The 24-year-old is expected to miss upcoming matches against Liverpool, Manchester United and Crystal Palace, games in which Villa need points to claw themselves out of the relegation zone.
At least Villa manager Dean Smith has options to replace Targett, with natural left-back Neil Taylor available and centre-backs Tyrone Mings and Kortney Hause also capable of shifting to the left.
Reacting to the news which was shared by Twitter account @villareport, these fans gave their opinion on the defender’s reported absence…
Massive blow – I know Targett has his critics, but I do think he offers a lot to the team in an attacking sense.
It’s time for Taylor to step up – he actually wasn’t too bad when he came on the other day, Hause will be the backup for him.

He’s came back out of shape. He looks like a 50 year old dinner lady. I just hope that doesn’t mean we stick with negative Taylor.

Not a huge loss. Played too much and offers too little IMHO
