Plenty of Aston Villa fans have been reacting to the club’s fixture list for the 2021/22 campaign.

The Premier League shared the dates that matter for every top-flight club on Thursday morning.

On paper, Villa have a favourable opening month. Dean Smith’s side face two of the three promoted sides from the Championship in Watford and Brentford, with a home clash against Newcastle United squeezed in between.

Other notable dates for the diary include a Boxing Day clash against Champions League winners Chelsea, a final day trip to Manchester City and two games against rivals Wolves on October 16 and April 2.

Villa will be looking to improve on their 11th place finish last year and have already strengthened their attacking ranks with the signing of Emiliano Buendia in a club-record deal.
