Aston Villa fans have been showing the love for Trezeguet on Twitter, following an official post from the club reminiscing about the winger's crucial goal in their 1-0 win over Arsenal on this day in 2020.

In what was one of the most important fixtures in Villa’s recent trajectory as a club, the victory took the Clarets out of the relegation zone on goal difference heading into the final game of the 2019/20 season [BBC].

In a game of tight margins, Trezeguet’s wonder volley from a corner proved to be the difference.

Intriguingly, anything less than three points that night would’ve seen the Midlands outfit relegated to the Sky Bet Championship upon completion of the campaign.

As you can imagine, loads of Aston Villa supporters took to Twitter to share their feelings about the strike.
