Aston Villa: Fans react to Gregg Evans tweet about Bertrand Traore

Aston Villa: Fans react to Gregg Evans tweet about Bertrand Traore - Aston Villa News

Many Aston Villa fans are reacting to a tweet from Gregg Evans in which he has praised winger Bertrand Traore for his performances so far this season.

The summer signing has had a great couple of games recently, and this prompted the Athletic journalist to tweet: ‘This guy is great fun to watch isn’t he?’ One fan replied to this tweet calling him a ‘special talent’.

Traore didn’t have the best start to the season but has become a crucial asset for the club in recent months this campaign. He has picked up four goals and three assists, (Transfermarkt).

Two of the assists and all of the goals have come in his last nine matches, and he is showing why Smith brought him to Villa Park in the first place.

If he continues the great form that he is currently in, then he will be a vital player for the club as they push for a top-half finish and it is understandable to see Evans publicly share his admiration for the attacker.

Here is how Villa fans reacted to the news:

“Frustrating and brilliant, all part of the charm. Does things his own way and has the best first touch in the squad. Needs to run backwards with a little more intensity.”

“My head nearly exploded when he tried and failed to lob the keeper with a chip that went no higher than 5ft high from 9 yards out in a one on one on Saturday.”
