Many Aston Villa fans are reacting to a report about the severity of the injury that Jack Grealish has suffered.
It is a big blow for the club to have their captain out for an unknown period, and @villareport posted that @greggevans believes Grealish will miss the game against Leeds and will then be assessed to see the true severity of his injury.
The attacking midfielder has had a great campaign so far in the Premier League to help Villa sit eighth in the division after 23 games. The Englishman has scored six goals and picked up ten assists in the Premier League (WhoScored). He has also managed, on average, 2.1 shots, 3.4 key passes and 2.8 successful dribbles a game.
He is a crucial member of Dean Smith’s side and is a key component as Villa look to push on and finish in the top half of the Premier League, so understandably many fans are very worried about the injury.
His absence was noticed yesterday as the club looked to be missing a creative spark as they lost against Leicester. They only managed two shots on target the whole game against The Foxes, which is very poor. For reference, Brendan Rodgers’ men managed seven shots on target (SofaScore).
Here is how Villa fans reacted to the update about Grealish:
“Time for the rest to step up, see if we have a Plan B”
“Christ. Without Grealish, we’re a mid Championship team”
“What’s wrong with him?”
