Many Aston Villa fans have reacted to a report that links John Terry with the vacant managerial role at Championship side Bristol City.
The former Chelsea and England defender has been assistant to Dean Smith at Villa since October 2018, playing a part in the club’s successful promotion from the second tier last term.
City sacked Lee Johnson at the weekend after they slumped to another defeat which saw them drop to 12th, nine points adrift of the play-off places.
Villa sit 18th at the present time in the Premier League with their top-flight status very much hanging in the balance, having lost 2-0 to champions Liverpool.
Reacting to the potential exit of Terry for Bristol City, Villa fans shared their opinion and it seems many would like him to go. Indeed, they seem to blame him for their awful defensive record (they have shipped a Premier League high 62 goals), perhaps expecting more from the assistant coach who was a top class defender in his playing days.
Get Martin Laursen in as Smiths asst and defensive coach if true.

Defensively we have been poor! I welcome the decision for Terry to move on. Thanks for your service and good luck for the future.
