Some fans of Aston Villa have been reacting to a post on Twitter in which the club's official account looked ahead to the upcoming fixture against Tottenham Hotspur.

Having got off to a fantastic start to their 2020/21 Premier League campaign, with Dean Smith guiding his side to nine wins, two draws and five losses over their opening 16 league fixtures - leaving them sitting pretty in fourth place in the league table - things have tailed off for Villa more recently.  They have won just three, drawn three and lost five of their last 11 games, with Smith seeing his side slip to ninth in the table.

With Tottenham up next in the league for the Villans, the club posted the details of the club's upcoming fixture on Twitter, along with the hashtag: "MondayMotivation."

However, in reaction to the club's tweet, many fans of Villa flocked to have their say on the matter, with plenty venting their fury at the post, apparently because of their recent run of poor form.

So, what exactly did these Aston Villa fans have to say in reaction to the club's post on Twitter?

"No longer motivated for the week. Cheers, son's crying."

@MattyAVFC_

"Why are you tweeting again?"

@AVFCOlly_

"You call it motivation, I call it depression."

@avbiIly

"The only motivation you can give me is by confirming Grealish is fit."

@jameskeane82

"How is this motivation? We’re getting smashed."

@LachlanAVFC

"Not using this as motivation."

@catrinedwards18

"'Motivation', delete this before its too late, come on."

@yasmiinbarnes

"Don’t care."
