Aston Villa: Fans react unkindly to club tweet - Aston Villa

Some fans of Aston Villa have been reacting to a post on Twitter in which the club’s official account looked ahead to the upcoming fixture against Tottenham Hotspur.

Having got off to a fantastic start to their 2020/21 Premier League campaign, with Dean Smith guiding his side to nine wins, two draws and five losses over their opening 16 league fixtures – leaving them sitting pretty in fourth place in the league table – things have tailed off for Villa more recently.  They have won just three, drawn three and lost five of their last 11 games, with Smith seeing his side slip to ninth in the table.

However, in reaction to the club’s tweet, many fans of Villa flocked to have their say on the matter, with plenty venting their fury at the post, apparently because of their recent run of poor form.
