Aston Villa announced on Wednesday afternoon that their ticket allocation for the club’s first pre-season friendly with Walsall has sold out.

And a number of Villa supporters have been reacting to the news on social media.

Villa begin their preparations for the new season next Wednesday, taking on the League Two side across the Midlands at the Banks’s Stadium in a 7:30 pm kick-off.

The club posted the details on Twitter, and in less than four hours, posted again to say tickets were sold out.

After the meeting with Walsall, Villa still have friendlies with Stoke City, Nottingham Forest, Bristol City and Sevilla ahead of the new campaign.
