Many Aston Villa fans are reminiscing about former forward Dion Dublin following a post from the club on Twitter.
Villa tweeted that Dublin arrived at Villa Park on this day (November 5th) in 1998 and they produced a video of his greatest strikes. The 51-year-old had a great career at the club, playing 185 times and scoring 56 goals (Transfermarkt).
Clearly the fans have some fond memories of the Englishman, with one calling him ‘a monster of a player’. He has a very good record across his career, playing for huge sides like Manchester United, Celtic and Leicester City. (Transfermarkt)
When it comes to all-time leading goal scorers at the club in the top division, Dublin ranks an impressive 15th, and so he is definitely somewhat of a cult hero at Villa Park.
Here is how Villa fans have reacted following the tweet:

Top striker and instinctive finisher. Great athleticism for a big guy too.
