Many Aston Villa fans have reacted with a negative response to the news that trio Danny Drinkwater, Frederic Guilbert and Henri Lansbury will be available to face Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Dean Smith’s side sit 19th in the Premier League table and will be looking for all three points when they host Midlands rivals Wolves on Saturday at Villa Park.
The visitors have been excellent this term and sit sixth in the league, whilst also still being in with a chance to win the Europa League.
Ahead of Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off, Villa have been met with the news that trio Drinkwater, Guilbert and Lansbury are all fully fit.
The Express and Star report the news, claiming that all three are expected to play a part against Wolves at the weekend.
The trio did not travel with the rest of the squad to Newcastle in midweek, remaining at the club’s training ground Bodymoor Heath to complete their return to full fitness.
Reacting to the news via Twitter account @villareport, fans gave a negative response. Some openly admitted that they weren’t impressed by the news, whilst others sarcastically suggested that the news would scare their opposition.
It is understandable why they would react this way, particularly in the cases of Drinkwater and Lansbury. Indeed, neither have played a big part this season, combining for just 805 minutes of pitch time between them…
