Aston Villa: Hourihane news upsets fans - Aston Villa

Many Aston Villa fans have flocked to a tweet from Villa news Twitter account @villareport which has shared the news that Conor Hourihane is set to join Championship side Swansea City on loan for the rest of the 2020/21 campaign.

This news mightn’t come as a massive surprise, as the Republic of Ireland international didn’t play a very significant role for the Villans this term, making just five appearances for the Midlands-based club in all competitions.

How many goals have Aston Villa averaged per game?

It’s been reported that the 29-year-old was still part of Dean Smith’s plans at Villa Park but the player’s departure comes as a result of his desire to get more game time.

So, how have these Aston Villa fans been reacting to this news?

A lot of the Villa supporters who replied to @villareport’s tweet were crushed by this news, indicating that they don’t want to see the last of the £5.4m-rated man at Villa Park.
