Aston Villa have been named in a transfer update regarding Club Brugge forward Noa Lang.

The Lowdown: Lang profiled

Lang is primarily a left winger but can also play on the right or as a second striker. The 23-year-old has been called 'the best player in the league' by Belgian top-flight analyst Filip Joos and could be in line to represent the Netherlands at the World Cup later this month.

He has made 99 appearances for his current employers, contributing to 56 goals, and it looks as if an exit could be on the cards in 2023.

The Latest: Villa named

A Dutch outlet shared an update regarding Lang on Tuesday, with interest coming from Italy.

They name-checked Villa, Leeds, Everton and West Ham in the report, though, saying ‘clubs like Villa’ are looking to bolster their attack.

The Verdict: One to watch?

It looks as if Lang could well be a player of interest to Villa officials, so this could be one to monitor heading into the January transfer window.

Labelled a ‘Netherlands star’ by James Marshment, Lang would offer plenty of versatility in the final third to Unai Emery’s side.

Sponsored by Adidas, you’d like to think that Lang still has time to improve on his game, and who knows, that could be in the Midlands.
