Aston Villa and Tottenham have both reportedly sounded out moves for Universidad de Chile forward Dario Osorio.

The Lowdown: Osorio profiled

The teenager, who turned 19 on Tuesday, is primarily a right winger but can also line out on the opposite flank if required. He already has two senior caps for Chile and is sponsored by Nike.

He has made 27 senior appearances for his current employers, scoring seven times. The left-footed teenager is under contract until 2025 and is valued at €3m (£2.6m) by Transfermarkt.

The Latest: Villa interested in Osorio

Sport Witness relayed an update from Chilean newspaper Las Ultimas Noticias regarding Osorio on Thursday.

They claimed that Villa and Spurs have both sounded out moves for Osorio, months after Wolves tried to sign the winger.

The Verdict: Future star?

Unai Emery has already secured the services of an exciting South American teenage attacker in Colombian Jhon Duran this month, and more additions could be on the way before the end of the transfer window.

A new winger seems to be on the agenda at Villa Park before Tuesday’s deadline, and Osorio could well be a player the club target.

He already has senior experience at club and international level and seems to be going from strength to strength, with his club’s website hailing him for his great speed and good shooting. Osorio may well be a star in the making, so this could be one to keep an eye on.
