Aston Villa: Fans react as Liverpool set £20m transfer fee on Harry Wilson - Aston Villa Transfer Rumours

Aston Villa have been linked with a potential move for Liverpool attacker Harry Wilson, who is reported to have had a £20m price-tag put on his shoulders.

The Welsh international spent one year on loan with Bournemouth last season but suffered relegation to the Championship.

Netting seven goals in 31 appearances at the Vitality stadium, Wilson followed up an impressive campaign in the 2018/19 season with Derby County, where he had scored 15 goals in 40 games.

Villa, who battled Bournemouth to maintain top-flight football last season, will look to improve this coming term with boss Dean Smith expected to bring in a number of new faces.

Wilson, could be one of those, having been linked with a move to Villa Park, but a valuation of £20m set by Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool could determine whether or not they make a move.

Reacting to the news of Wilson’s price-tag, Villa fans gave the following responses via @AVFC_News. It seems the majority do not want the club to sign him, suggesting that the fee is too much. They may have a point, considering his current market value of £15.75m is less than Liverpool’s asking price.

One even described him as a ‘glorified [Conor] Hourihane’, perhaps alluding to the fact that one of Wilson’s key strengths is direct free-kicks, just like the Irishman.
