With he summer transfer window now officially open, Villa boss Dean Smith will undoubtedly be looking to improve his squad options after narrowly escaping relegation from the Premier League to the Championship.

A whole host of transfer rumours are expected citing Villa this summer, especially given that club captain Jack Grealish is gaining interest from a number of clubs.

Spanish media outlet El Desmarque report that a whole host of clubs are showing interest in the £18m valued midfielder, including Villa’s Premier League rivals Arsenal and Everton, whilst La Liga duo Sevilla and Villarreal are said to be keen.

Reacting to the report of interest in Campana, fans issued a response via Twitter account @villareport. It seems that plenty wouldn’t be too keen on him despite his decent campaign, with a couple pointing to the fact that in his previous spell in England he failed to set the world alight at Crystal Palace, featuring just six times before being sold.

Meanwhile, another suggested it felt like a Suso signing – the ex-sporting director recently left his role this week after spending over £140m last season only for the club to finish a lowly 17th.
