Aston Villa: Fans react to André Villas-Boas’ comments - Aston Villa Transfer Rumours

Many Aston Villa fans are not best pleased after hearing the latest news from Marseille manage Andre Villas-Boas on linked midfielder Morgan Sanson.

According to @GFFN, via @villareport, the manager, who has graced the Premier League in the past with Chelsea and Tottenham, said: “We had a very, very weak offer from Aston Villa (for Morgan Sanson) which we turned down.” One fan called this update on Sanson’s possible transfer ‘irritating’.

This news has obviously caused many to be not just disappointed but also gutted that the move has hit a stumbling block. It is easy to see why as Villa are targeting a very exciting and talented player.

The 26 year-old has an abundance of experience for both club and country – this includes appearances in the Champions League. He can provide a threat going forward and be a big help defensively according to his statistics this season, as he has averaged 1.9 tackles and 1.1 key passes a game in Ligue 1 this campaign (WhoScored).

it doesn’t mean the proposed move is dead in the water as Villa could go back in and make another bid. The fact that they allowed Conor Hourihane to depart on loan suggests that they will definitely maintain their interest in Sanson.

Here is what Villa fans said following the comments:
