Plenty of Aston Villa fans have been reacting to what Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett has had to say on Jack Grealish’s future.

talkSPORT suggested on Friday morning that Manchester City were closing in on a £100m deal for the Villa captain.

Pep Guardiola’s side have been earmarked as favourites to sign the 25-year-old for a number of months now, however, a move to the Etihad isn’t a formality.

Dorsett took to Twitter shortly after the news emerged on a possible £100m deal to City.

He revealed that Villa actually opened talks with Grealish over a new deal in the Midlands last week and are adamant about building a side around the attacking midfielder.

The club’s recruitment plans are thought to be based on Grealish remaining at the club beyond the window, however, Dorsett did add that City will make a formal offer following the Euros.
