Aston Villa centre-back Mungo Bridge sealed a deadline day loan move to FC Annecy.

And a number of Villa supporters were quick to share their thoughts at the transfer news on social media.

The 20-year-old’s only senior Villa appearance came against Liverpool in the FA Cup last season, and he’ll now be gaining first-team experience in the French third-tier after completing a season-long loan move.

Bridge, who will turn 21 later this month, became the 11th and final Villa Under-23 to leave Bodymoor Heath on loan, shortly after Dominic Revan’s switch to Northampton Town was completed.

Villa’s loan player development coach, Mile Jedinak, looks set to be a busy man during the season, with Bridge another player he’ll now be keeping a close eye on.
