Many Aston Villa fans have reacted to a report that young Polish keeper Oliwier Zych is set to join the club this summer.
The youngster is currently part of Zaglebie Lubin’s youth setup, having moved to them from Arki Gdynia in 2018.
Turning 16 on June 28th, he is expected to travel to England to finalise a deal with Villa at the end of the month, as claimed by the Polish newspaper.
The report further claims that Premier League duo Arsenal and Liverpool, plus German champions Bayern Munich, have been interested in his services.
Zych is yet to make a senior appearance, but has appeared on the substitute’s bench for Zaglebie Lubin, which is impressive given his tender age.
Reacting to @villareport’s tweet on the transfer link, fans gave their opinion on the young keeper’s potential arrival. However, it seems that the majority weren’t too impressed with the deal, suggesting that a young goalkeeper isn’t what they needed. Indeed one sarcastically said the club have “200 goalkeepers and not a goalscorer in sight” alluding to the fact they have netted just 35 league goals this term (BBC Sport).
