Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish remains part of Manchester United’s ‘top-tier’ summer transfer plans with The Independent reporting three main targets.
The former England under-21 international has been in superb form this season for Dean Smith’s side, contributing in the Premier League with seven goals and six assists. Villa, who will return to league action on June 17, see their top-flight status hanging in the balance as things stand, sitting 19th in the Premier League table.
United, who have had a largely mixed season in terms of results, are looking to bring in some fresh faces this summer and Grealish remains very much on their transfer list. Joining the 24-year-old midfielder is Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder Jadon Sancho, who has been impressing in the Bundesliga, and Napoli defender Kalidou Kouliably.
Losing Grealish would undoubtedly be a kick in the teeth for Villa, given his importance to the team as their top scorer and assists provider and his status as club captain.
Should Villa remain in the Premier League past this season, boss Smith would undoubtedly love to keep hold of his playmaker, but a potential influx of £80m by the club from his prospective sale could hand the manager a nice sum of money to find a potential replacement if Grealish goes.
How much will Villa miss Jack Grealish if he joins Man United? Let us know in the comments…
