Aston Villa: Fans want to sign Josh King
Aston Villa could hardly have hoped for a better start to the season, but some fans are still hoping for a new signing in the shape of Josh King.
The Villans have won all three of their opening Premier League games, with them currently sitting second in the table behind Everton. The 7-2 win against Liverpool will go down in history – it is the first time a Premier League reigning champion has conceded seven times in one match.
This early season form has been built on some astute signings during the transfer window. The Midlands outfit have brought in Emiliano Martinez, Matty Cash, Ollie Watkins, Ross Barkley and Bertrand Traore, and they appear to have settled in nicely so far.
Whilst the international deadline has passed, top-tier clubs can still complete deals for lower-league players – and it seems like Dean Smith may not be done just yet. According to The Mirror, Villa are set to rival West Brom for Bournemouth forward Josh King. The Norway international has 48 goals in 161 games in the Premier League and could be the perfect back-up for Watkins.

Agree think we also could do with a back up striker to cover for Ollie, Josh King is the obvious choice before the EFL window closes but I wouldn’t say no to a cheeky Benrahma added aswell

We do need one more for the forward line… and King makes most sense given his versatility, pace and physicality. Can’t see us moving for the likes of Buendia, Cantwell, Benrahma tbh. If we could get him, might Davis be loaned to make space? Or would AEG go?

Josh King ticks the boxes as can play in all three positions. Plus he will be cheaper.
Can’t waste time on him now though. All eyes are now on the Championship for potential signings.
