# Aston Villa: Fans react to image of Wesley in training

**Many Aston Villa fans are over the moon after seeing an image of striker Wesley looking like he is back to full training with the squad.**

It was the club who [posted](https://twitter.com/AVFCOfficial/status/1362797089206501378?s=20) the image of the striker on Twitter, supported with the caption ‘Wesley has got that [#FridayFeeling](https://twitter.com/hashtag/FridayFeeling?src=hashtag_click)!’

Villa have been hopeful that he will return early in [2021](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/aston-villa-team-news-barkley-19349363) as there is currently a lot of pressure on the shoulders of Ollie Watkins. Fellow striker [Keinan Davis](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/aston-villa-transfer-rumours/aston-villa-dean-smith-will-let-davis-go-on-loan-on-one-condition/) has not scored a goal in the top flight and Watkins, at times, has been the [only recognised striker](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aston-villa/startseite/verein/405) currently available for selection.

It has been sad to see the sheer length of time the Brazilian has been out. He has been injured for over a year now and this has meant the player has already missed no less than 49 games ([Transfermarkt).](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/wesley/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/381362/verein/405) Hopefully this image means that the player will be close to a return, and he will add some great depth to the Villa squad and could be a vital asset in making sure the club finish in the top ten this season.

### Here is how Villa fans reacted to the news:
