# Atletico Madrid set to swoop for ex-Chelsea star if they lose their striker

The reports have been fuelled because Atleti’s current target man, Mario Mandzukic, is being linked with a move away to Wolfsburg.

This means that Diego Simeone is on the prowl for another striker to fill the boots of the Croatian, who has made a big impact at the Vicente Calderon.

And Everton’s youngster is now at the top of their shopping list, but Everton will be keen to make a profit after splashing £28m on him last summer.

Atleti have always been big fans of the 21-year-old ever since he broke onto the scene in England and when Diego Costa moved to Stamford Bridge, they tried doing a swap deal, which included Lukaku.
