# Arsenal: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang celebrates Community Shield win on Instagram

**Arsenal have started their 2020/21 campaign ideally as they lifted the [Community Shield](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53871874) after beating Liverpool on penalties at Wembley on Saturday.**

It wasn’t an easy game against the Premier League champions but the Gunners started off brightly and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gave them an early [lead](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53871874) with a lovely curling finish from outside the box.

Mikel Arteta’s side held on until the second half but an [equaliser](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53871874) from Takumi Minamino forced a penalty shoot-out with the teams level at 1-1 after 90 minutes. Captain Aubameyang was again the hero as he scored the [fifth](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53871874) and decisive penalty for Arsenal.

This means that Arteta now has [two trophies](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mikel-arteta/profil/trainer/47620) with the club and he hasn’t even been in charge for a[full calendar year](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mikel-arteta/profil/trainer/47620) yet, so the Spaniard has enjoyed a very promising start to his managerial tenure with the Gunners.

Aubameyang took to [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/p/CEg9ymLH13x/) following the game at Wembley and he seems to be enjoying life at the club as he posted a collection of pictures with the squad and the Community Shield.

With [considerable discussion](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1329306/Arsenal-transfer-news-Pierre-Emerick-Aubameyang-new-contract-Mikel-Arteta-Premier-League#:~:text=Pierre%2DEmerick%20Aubameyang%20rejected%20%22two,agreement%20now%20all%20but%20finalised.) surrounding the forward’s future as he only has a year left on his current contract, perhaps Gunners fans can rest more easily as, judging by the 31-year-old’s social media post, he appears to be enjoying his time at the club, so last season’s [29-goal top scorer](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/arsenal-fc/leistungsdaten/verein/11/plus/0?reldata=%262019) might not be going anywhere just yet.
