**Galatasaray have reportedly opened talks with Aston Villa over a move for winger Trezeguet.**

That’s according to [Fanatik](https://www.fanatik.com.tr/galatasaray-transfer-haberi-trezeguet-iddiasi-2260959), as relayed by [Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/negotiations-started-aston-villa-exit-club-looking-raise-funds-january-deal/), which has led to a number of Villa supporters reacting to the news on social media.

The 27-year-old has made just [one](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/trezeguet/leistungsdaten/spieler/234189) appearance all season due to injury and is now away with Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations. He has scored just [nine](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/trezeguet/leistungsdaten/spieler/234189) times in [64](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/trezeguet/leistungsdaten/spieler/234189) appearances in a Villa shirt, and it seems as if he could [join Anwar El Ghazi](https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2022/january/13/anwar/) in moving out of Bodymoor Heath this month.

According to [Fanatik](https://www.fanatik.com.tr/galatasaray-transfer-haberi-trezeguet-iddiasi-2260959), Turkish giants Galatasaray have started negotiations with Villa over a move, although the report doesn’t specify whether it would be a temporary or permanent transfer.
