# Aston Villa: Fans react to club’s plans for Keinan Davis

**Aston Villa’s Keinan Davis is wanted by multiple Championship clubs in January, although Steven Gerrard is thought to be a big fan of the forward.**

That’s according to Gregg Evans of [The Athletic](https://theathletic.co.uk/2988608/2021/11/30/aston-villa-loan-players-papa-johns-trophy/), and the winter window exit talk has unsurprisingly had plenty of Villa fans talking on social media.

The 23-year-old has struggled to make an impact at Villa Park following promotion to the Premier League back in 2019, scoring just [once](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/keinan-davis/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/412660) in [34](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/keinan-davis/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/412660) top-flight appearances.

He has made just [one](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/keinan-davis/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/412660) appearance in the Premier League during the current campaign, missing the start of the season through [injury](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/keinan-davis/leistungsdaten/spieler/412660).

Davis’ injury over the summer [stopped](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-davis-move-to-stoke-city-collapses-after-crushing-aston-villa-blow/) a summer switch to Stoke City, and according to [Evans](https://theathletic.co.uk/2988608/2021/11/30/aston-villa-loan-players-papa-johns-trophy/), multiple clubs in the Championship would now like to sign him on loan in the New Year. [The journalist](https://theathletic.co.uk/2988608/2021/11/30/aston-villa-loan-players-papa-johns-trophy/) revealed that Gerrard is a big fan of the striker, who Jack Grealish labelled [‘brilliant’](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/jack-grealish-ravishes-praise-aston-22216306), and had even considered signing him for Rangers, with a January exit for the 23-year-old reportedly ‘unlikely’.

### Villa fans react

[@villareport](https://twitter.com/villareport/status/1466024522386006021) shared [Evans](https://theathletic.co.uk/2988608/2021/11/30/aston-villa-loan-players-papa-johns-trophy/)’ claim regarding Davis on Twitter. Here is what these Villa supporters had to say in reply, with many not happy at the prospect of the striker staying put, possibly due to his meagre goal return of just [six](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/keinan-davis/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/412660) in [86](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/keinan-davis/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/412660) appearances for the club.
