# Bad news for Liverpool as club reportedly holds talks over transfer of £75,000-per-week midfielder

***The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate for Jurgen Klopp to keep their squad together this summer…***

The Reds have impressed at points this season, and with a top four finish still a very realistic feat, many are hoping that their squad will improve this summer.

However, it would appear as though there is also a chance that the Reds could lose a few key players – with [Tutto Mercato Web reporting](https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/europa/esclusiva-tmw-chelsea-hazard-nuovi-contatti-per-il-rinnovo-real-su-wijnaldum-966878) that Real Madrid have held talks with representatives of Georginio Wijnaldum over a potential switch to *Los Blancos*.

This [report](https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/europa/esclusiva-tmw-chelsea-hazard-nuovi-contatti-per-il-rinnovo-real-su-wijnaldum-966878) has terrified the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern, with the irresistible lure of Real Madrid often too much for players to turn down.

Losing Wijnaldum, who [reportedly](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/pics/sports-pictures/3221/Every-Liverpool-player-s-weekly-wages-revealed-sportgalleries) earns £75,000-per-week, would certainly be an issue for the Reds, given the magic that he has often produced in the Liverpool midfield this season. Rarely a player that takes the plaudits, the midfielder made a slow start to life at Anfield – but has quickly grown into an important force in the heart of the midfield.

Our landlord thinks that whilst a deal is still a long way off, Klopp should do all he can to ensure that his player stays put.
