# Barcelona: Fans urge club to follow in Bayern’s footsteps and sack manager

**Ernesto Valverde is [not liked](https://www.caughtoffside.com/2019/09/21/tell-this-clown-to-go-and-disgrace-these-barcelona-fans-fume-after-going-behind-in-first-minute-vs-granada/) by fans of Barcelona, that is abundantly clear.**

The final straw was arguably when the club bottled a three-goal advantage against Liverpool in the semi-finals of last season’s Champions League, though somehow he still remains in the dugout at the Camp Nou.

Performances have been far from impressive this season for Barcelona, and although they currently sit at the top of [La Liga](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/spanish-la-liga/table), ahead of Real Madrid on [goal difference](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/spanish-la-liga/table), they are only there by the skin of their teeth and are extremely lucky that Los Blancos have also been poor this term.

Barca have now lost [three](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/spanish-la-liga/table) league matches this season, while also struggling to beat European minnows Slavia Prague in the Champions League a fortnight ago – making for some pretty frustrated supporters. It’s clear that the Blaugrana faithful now want the club to part ways with Ernesto Valverde, [just like Bayern Munich did with Niko Kovac](https://www.espn.co.uk/football/bayern-munich/story/3980477/bayern-munich-sack-niko-kovac-as-manager) over the weekend after the German champions were thrashed 5-1 by Eintracht Frankfurt.

Have a look at the Twitter reactions down below, where fans are urging the boss to follow the footsteps of the 48 year-old Croatian…

> Croatian Valverde had the dignity to resign after getting humiliated, meanwhile the original one refuses to leave after half a dozen humiliations.

> Bayern Coach Kovac resigned despite winning the double last season and losing 3 times only this season. Valverde won only 1 title last season, and made us exit the UCL in the most shameless way in the club’s history, but still manages to find a way to continue. It is what it is

> Please Ernesto, have some decency and take notice from Kovac. Valverde has clearly run out of ideas and the sooner he splits from [@FCBarcelona](https://twitter.com/FCBarcelona?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) the better for both parties. [https://t.co/W0Laj78zff](https://t.co/W0Laj78zff)
