# Barcelona: Fans want Lautaro Martínez

**Barcelona are reportedly one of several European heavyweights tracking the progress of Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.**

\[freshpress-poll id=”255364″\]

According to [FCInterNews.it](https://m.fcinternews.it/in-primo-piano/fcin-lautaro-nella-lista-di-barca-e-united-la-clausola-preoccupa-ma-l-inter-ha-una-strategia-per-toglierla-321368?fbclid=IwAR0FcBpZwyrOcZVooFaOQUfOBecqBO2tpToFgEPRKSqWoVyFyVexILAcfdc), the Catalans and Manchester United have their eyes on the 22-year-old, who has scored six goals and provided two assists for Inter in 11 appearances this season (via [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/lautaro-martinez/profil/spieler/406625)).

[Manchester Evening News](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/lautaro-martinez-man-utd-news-17137765) report that United have earmarked Martinez as a potential new arrival in January as they look for reinforcements up-front this term.

The Red Devils have scored just [ten league goals](https://www.google.com/search?q=pl+table&oq=pl+tab&aqs=chrome.0.69i59j69i57j35i39j69i59j0j69i60.1161j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#sie=lg;/g/11fj6snmjm;2;/m/02_tc;st;fp;1;;) this season – 19 less than Manchester City – so desperately need a new signing to help out in the goalscoring department.

Barcelona, on the other hand, have three world-class forwards at their disposal in the form of Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann and Luis Suarez, though could be in the market for a replacement for the latter, as he is now approaching the back-end of a glorious career.

It’s fair to say that fans of the Blaugrana would love to see him at the Camp Nou, too..

> We need to go for him.

> yes I think so. I mean he scored a CL away goal this season. not every striker is capable of doing that.

> Who knows? One thing I know is that [@LuisSuarez9](https://twitter.com/LuisSuarez9?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) is finished! And [@FCBarcelona](https://twitter.com/FCBarcelona?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) as a team needs a consistency striker! Not a flash in a pan striker!
